1. Take a walk along Bournemouth Pier
Begin at Bournemouth Pier, the Victorian landmark that anchors the town. Walk out to the pier head for wide views back over the bay, then have a look at the amusements or try the zip line that carries you back to the beach.
2. See the marine life at the Oceanarium
Next door to the pier, the Oceanarium moves you through themed habitats spanning Poole Bay to the Great Barrier Reef. It's a dependable option when it rains, and under-fives get in free.
3. Walk through the Lower Gardens
Stretching from the seafront into the town centre, the Grade II-listed Lower Gardens come with mini golf, an aviary and summer concerts at the bandstand.
4. Walk out to Hengistbury Head
